Our program

1. Profitis Ilias Monastery

The first destination of our tour is Profitis Ilias Monastery, a must see attraction for any traveler, built in 1711, on the summit of Mount Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elijah) - about 600 meters above sea level - the highest point of Santorini. It has been characterized as a place of great historical significance with its churches, chapels, bell tower and wealth of numerous religious artifacts from the 18th century. From this point, there are no words to describe the spectacular view of the island, the caldera and the neighboring islands.

2. Akrotiri Archaeological Site

Then, we will visit Akrotiri Archaeological Site which is one of the most significant prehistoric settlements of the Aegean.
Luckily, the ash has preserved structures that allow the visitor to recognize this specific wonder of antiquity.

3. Red Beach

Leaving the Akrotiri excavations, we head towards the famous Red Beach just to get a glimpse at the red volcanic rocks.

4. Lighthouse

Furthermore, our native driver - guide will take you to the Lighthouse in south-west side of the famous Santorini's Caldera. It is constructed in 1892 and is one of the best lighthouses in Greece. Ideally, this location should be visited during the sunset when the view is fantastic.

5. Vlychada Beach

According to the tour-schedule, our driver - guide will next take you to the unique Vlychada Beach with its overwhelming natural carved cliffs, relatively shallow waters and dark volcanic sand and pebbles. Here we also come across the Sailing and Yachting Center, at the small port close to the beach, where you can gaze at small yachts and boats, relax and enjoy a meal at the local fish-taverns. It is, in fact, the most atmospheric beach you can find in the whole island.

6. Megalochori

Our next visit will be the village of Megalochori which has been characterized as one of the most picturesque and traditional villages of Santorini. The mansions and restored houses of vernacular architecture, the high walls and the pirate hideaways are the highlights of this preserved old settergent.

7. Venetsanos Winery

Afterwards, Venetsanos Winery will give us the opportunity to taste the local wine varieties the island is famous for while enjoying the stunning views of the Aegean Sea. If you opt to do this tour at afternoon you will have the chance to watch unique santorini’s sunset on Venetzanos Winery terrace boasting superb views of the caldera, the volcano and the endless blue of the aegean sea.
